Getting There

Manzanillo International Airport (ZLO) is on the northern edge of town, with direct flights from Mexico City, Guadalajara, and a handful of seasonal connections to the US and Canada. The terminal is small and taxis to the resorts cost between 200 and 400 pesos.

By road, Manzanillo is about three and a half hours from Guadalajara on the toll Highway 200, and about an hour and a quarter from Colima city. Long-distance buses (ETN, Primera Plus) run frequently from the inland cities and are comfortable. The Pacific coast highway south to Acapulco is slow and scenic; allow a full day or break the journey at Ixtapa or Zihuatanejo.
