Casa Gilardi is a late work by Luis Barragán, the Mexican modernist architect whose own house and studio are a UNESCO World Heritage site. The private home is known for Barragán's intense colour, controlled light, and careful use of water and garden space.
Visits are by guided tour and must be booked in advance. It is best for travellers with a real interest in modern architecture, but the small-group format makes the house feel more personal than a standard museum visit.
