Mexico City drinks late and well. Mezcalerías have multiplied across Roma and Condesa, where you can work through dozens of small-batch agave spirits a thimbleful at a time. Cantinas in the Centro Histórico still serve botanas (free snacks) with every round of beer, and the rooftop bars around the Zócalo offer some of the best views in the city. Things rarely get going before 10pm; clubs fill up after midnight. Stick to known neighbourhoods after dark and take registered taxis or rideshares home.
