The Monument to the Ninos Heroes stands at the entrance to Chapultepec Park. Its semicircle of marble columns honours the six cadets remembered for defending Chapultepec Castle during the Mexican-American War.
The memorial is an easy stop before walking up to the castle or into the park. It also helps put Chapultepec's military history in context before visiting the museums and viewpoints nearby.
