The smaller and busier of Condesa's two parks, Parque España is a triangular wedge of greenery on the neighbourhood's eastern edge, laid out in the 1920s as the district grew up around the old hippodrome. Dog walkers, joggers and families fill it through the day, and a small playground and a dog run keep it lively. The surrounding streets — Sonora, Ámsterdam and Parras — hold some of Condesa's best cafés and bars.
It is less of a destination than nearby Parque México and more of a neighbourhood gathering spot, but together the two parks define the easy, tree-shaded rhythm that makes Condesa such a pleasant place to wander.
