Lardo is the all-day café-restaurant from Elena Reygadas, one of Mexico's most celebrated chefs, and a fixture of Condesa eating since it opened. The cooking is light, seasonal and Mediterranean-leaning — wood-oven flatbreads, vegetable plates, fresh pastas and excellent breakfasts — served in a bright, casual room that fills from morning coffee through to dinner.
It is more relaxed and affordable than Reygadas's flagship Rosetta in nearby Roma, and a reliable, unfussy choice for a meal in the neighbourhood at almost any hour. Mornings and weekend brunch are especially popular, so expect a short wait.
