The Museo de la Mujer tells the story of women in Mexican history, politics, education, work, and culture. It is a focused museum rather than a blockbuster, useful for adding a social-history stop to a walk around the northern side of the Centro Histórico.
Exhibits are strongest if you can read Spanish, but the subject matter is clear enough to make a short visit worthwhile. The museum also hosts talks and workshops, including occasional programmes connected to LGBT history and rights.
