Morelia is served by General Francisco J. Mujica International Airport (MLM), about 30km north of the city centre. Direct flights connect to Mexico City, Guadalajara, Tijuana, and a handful of US cities. A taxi or Uber from the airport to the centre takes about 40 minutes and costs around 350–450 pesos.
By road, Morelia is about 3.5 hours from Mexico City on the toll highway. The bus terminal (Central de Autobuses) is on the eastern edge of the city. Buses from Mexico City run frequently (around 4 hours), and connections exist from Guadalajara (about 3.5 hours), Patzcuaro (1 hour), and other Michoacan towns. The first-class lines ETN and Primera Plus are most comfortable for longer journeys.
