Napa is mostly about wine, and there's no avoiding it — over 400 wineries dot the valley, with the heaviest concentration along the Silverado Trail and Highway 29. Beyond the tasting rooms, the Napa Valley Wine Train, sunrise hot-air balloon rides, and the restaurants of Yountville and St. Helena round out the menu. Downtown Napa itself has a riverfront, an opera house and a long-running gourmet food hall.
