The historic centre of Delray Beach, anchored by three former school buildings — the 1913 Delray Elementary, the 1925 Delray High, and a 1926 gymnasium — restored in the 1980s after the city nearly demolished them, and now collectively a National Register district. The buildings house the Cornell Art Museum (rotating contemporary exhibitions, mostly local and regional), the Crest Theatre (small live music and theatre venue), and the Fieldhouse event space.
Outside, the brick courtyards and the Pavilion open-air stage host a year-round programme of free concerts, food truck nights, and farmers' markets. It is the social and visual focal point of central Delray. The grounds are open day and night; museum hours vary.
