Grassy Waters Preserve protects a large stretch of Everglades habitat west of West Palm Beach. The preserve serves as a freshwater source for the area and gives visitors an accessible look at wetlands, sawgrass, cypress, birds, and other wildlife.
The nature centre near the north entrance has exhibits and occasional guided walks. The Cypress Boardwalk is the easiest short route, while longer trails suit hikers who want a more open wetland experience.
