The Vortex's Little Five Points location is famous for two things: its giant grinning-skull facade, which you enter through the mouth, and its uncompromising hostility to politeness. The menu is burgers, fries, and beer; the rules include 'no idiots' and 'absolutely no children under 18'.
The food is, despite the schtick, decent. The Coronary Bypass burger — a half-pound patty with bacon, ham, fried egg, and cheese on a glazed donut — is roughly what it sounds like. A second branch sits in Midtown.
