Atlanta's main attractions cluster around downtown and Midtown. The Georgia Aquarium and the Martin Luther King Jr. National Historic Site anchor the downtown core, while Midtown holds the High Museum and the Botanical Garden. Buckhead, to the north, has a different character — more upscale shopping and nightlife than sightseeing. Stone Mountain makes a good half-day trip east of the city.
