Independent Presbyterian Church is a landmark church near Chippewa Square, best known to many visitors from the opening feather sequence in Forrest Gump. The church also works as part of a downtown Savannah architecture walk, with its prominent steeple and historic setting close to several of the city's museum houses and squares.
