The Open Space Visitor Center introduces Albuquerque's protected open-space lands, from the Rio Grande bosque to the foothills and mesa edges around the city. Exhibits cover local natural and cultural history, and the site also includes an art gallery and outdoor areas.
Its best feature is the setting: views across fields, cottonwoods, and the Sandia Mountains give you a quick sense of the landscapes that frame Albuquerque. It is most useful as a gentle first stop before walking or cycling the bosque.
