Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame

A small museum in the old Muskogee railway depot just south of downtown, opened in 1997 to celebrate Oklahoma musicians. Inductees include Woody Guthrie, Bob Wills, Merle Haggard, Garth Brooks, Reba McEntire, the Flaming Lips, Vince Gill, Toby Keith, Leon Russell, and Patti Page — a remarkable list for a state with a small population. Memorabilia, costumes, instruments, and listening stations make for a focused 60-minute visit. The annual induction ceremony each fall draws current and former stars back to town.
