The University of Oregon's art museum is bigger and better than its size suggests — particularly strong on East Asian art (one of the most significant collections of Korean ceramics outside Korea), American art of the Pacific Northwest, and contemporary photography. The 2005 renovation added good gallery space without losing the original 1933 Romanesque brick exterior.
Free for Oregon residents and students; modest admission otherwise. Rotating exhibitions are usually worth a look — the curators are ambitious for a university museum.
