Farnsworth House Inn

The brick house on Baltimore Street still carries more than 100 bullet holes in its south wall — fired by Confederate sharpshooters who occupied the upper rooms during the battle. The house is now a restaurant and inn, also known for being one of the most ghost-toured properties in town.

The Mourning Theater in the basement runs evening storytelling sessions on the Civil War dead. The food is workmanlike American; the building is the draw. 401 Baltimore Street.
