Jennie Wade House

The clapboard house where Mary Virginia "Jennie" Wade became the only civilian killed during the Battle of Gettysburg. The house is preserved as a museum, with the bullet hole through the door still visible, period furnishings, and a basement where Wade's family and neighbours sheltered during the fighting.

Costumed guides walk visitors through the rooms. Touristy in tone but a worthwhile glimpse at the civilian side of the battle. 528 Baltimore Street.
