Majestic Theatre

The Majestic Theatre is a lavish 1929 movie palace in downtown San Antonio, designed by John Eberson and long considered one of Texas's great historic theatres. Its ornate interior was built for spectacle, with atmospheric details meant to make the auditorium feel like an outdoor Mediterranean night.

It is still a working performance venue, so the best way to see it is to attend a concert, comedy show, or touring production. Even from the street, the theatre adds a strong dose of old downtown glamour near the River Walk.
