Lindquist Field

The home of the Ogden Raptors, a Pioneer League baseball team, Lindquist Field is a compact minor league ballpark with the Wasatch Mountains rising immediately to the east — one of the better stadium views in American baseball. Games are casual, inexpensive, and thoroughly local: vendors sell Frito pie and locally brewed beer, families take up the outfield lawn seating, and the mountain backdrop turns pink as the sun sets behind the crowd.

Minor league baseball is one of the genuinely great American summer pleasures, and Ogden does it well. The season runs from mid-May through September, with games most evenings. Walk-up tickets are almost always available; you need to be there early for the lawn sections in good weather. On fireworks nights the ballpark fills up with what feels like half the city.
