A small but ambitious non-collecting kunsthalle in the same complex as the Mariners' Museum. PFAC mounts six or seven rotating exhibitions a year, almost all of them by living artists, with a strong programme of regional and emerging work. The children's hands-on gallery in the basement is worth a stop if you have kids in tow.
Pair it with the Mariners' for a half day of indoor culture, especially in winter when the surrounding park is bare.
