Paraná is best taken slowly: a walk along the long Costanera waterfront, a swing through the Plaza 1° de Mayo with the cathedral and government house, the Parque Urquiza for shade and views over the river, and the small but well-kept municipal museums. The river itself is the city's main asset — boat trips, fishing, and the islands of the Paraná delta begin at the port.
