Bucaramanga's sights are spread across a walkable downtown of plazas and colonial churches, with the canyon and the historic village of Girón providing the big set-pieces just outside the city. The cathedral square and the nearby Parque García Rovira form the civic heart; the Museo de Arte Moderno is small but sharp. For anything involving the canyon, the cable car at Parque Nacional del Chicamocha is the main event.
