Pre-Columbian Calima goldwork in a free museum

The Banco de la República's gold museum, focused on the goldwork of the Calima cultures that flourished in the Cauca Valley from around 1600 BC. The collection is small but exquisitely displayed — pectorals, nose ornaments and ceremonial figures hammered from sheet gold. Free admission; Tuesday to Saturday 9 am–6 pm, Sunday 10 am–4 pm.
