Catedral Metropolitana is Montevideo's Catholic cathedral and the seat of the archdiocese. Facing Plaza de la Constitución in the Ciudad Vieja, it is one of the city's key colonial-era religious landmarks and contains artwork including an image of Our Lady of the Thirty-Three, Uruguay's patron saint.
