The Farid Richa Stadium is Barquisimeto's football ground, home to Deportivo Lara of the Primera División. It seats around 13,000 and sits next to the Domo Bolivariano in the city's main sports cluster on the north side of the centre.
A match here is one of the best ways to see Lara at full volume — drums, songs, and a partisan crowd in orange. If you cannot get to a game the stadium itself is worth a glance for the curving stand roofs visible from the surrounding avenues.
