Waterfront Restaurant

The hotels along Limbe's seafront all run restaurants open to non-guests, and they offer the most reliable sit-down dining in town: proper tables, written menus, and cooking that manages both Cameroonian standards and the occasional continental dish. The view over the Atlantic — grey-green water, distant tankers, the smudge of Mount Cameroon on clear days — makes these places worth the slight premium over the beach shacks.

Fish remains the safest order. Grilled barracuda, prawn brochettes, and variations on ndolé with prawns instead of beef are reliable choices. Service can be slow; the pace of the town doesn't accelerate much for restaurants.
