This small but excellent museum houses a collection of Gabonese masks, carved figures, and musical instruments from the country's many ethnic groups. The ritual masks are particularly striking, and the explanatory panels give useful context for the cultural traditions of the interior.
A visit takes about an hour and is well worth it before heading into the rest of the country, where you will encounter these traditions firsthand.
