The Stade Omar Bongo, in the southern part of the city, is Gabon's national stadium and the home ground of the Panthères. Built in the 1980s and refitted for the 2012 and 2017 Africa Cup of Nations, it seats around 41,000. If a domestic league or international match is on while you are in town, it is a genuinely lively place to spend an afternoon.
