Man is a standard West African town for eating, which is not a bad thing. The backbone of the food scene is the maquis — informal outdoor restaurants serving grilled fish and chicken, attiéké (fermented cassava couscous), alloco (fried plantain), and rice dishes. A few more formal sit-down restaurants operate near the town centre. Prices are low throughout.
