November through March is the dry season and the most comfortable time for hiking the hills around Man. The trails to the Dent de Man and Mount Tonkoui are at their most accessible, and the days are clear enough to get the long views that make these climbs worthwhile.
The rainy season (April to October) makes the landscape dramatically greener — the bamboo forest around La Cascade is particularly lush — but some mountain tracks become difficult and the haze can obscure the views from the peaks. The liana bridges are accessible year-round.
The region was affected by instability during Ivory Coast's post-election crisis in 2010–2011 but has been peaceful since then. Check current travel advisories before visiting, but conditions have been stable for well over a decade.
