Where the Blue Nile and White Nile merge into one

The point where the Blue Nile and White Nile meet is Khartoum's defining geographical feature and one of Africa's great natural landmarks. From the bridge or the riverbank near the Mogran Family Park, you can see the two rivers running side by side — the darker Blue Nile water distinct from the lighter White Nile — before they merge and continue north as the Nile proper. The contrast is most visible after the rainy season, roughly August to October.
