Most visitors come to Sihanoukville for the beaches and the boats out to the islands, but there is a small handful of inland sights and viewpoints worth combining with the sand: the headland Buddhist temples, the Independence-era hotel, and the ferry pier looking out at Koh Pos. The big draws are still offshore — Koh Rong and Koh Rong Sanloem — and the long arc of Otres beach south of town.
