This rebuilt residence preserves the memory of Feng Baiju, the Communist military leader who led forces on Hainan during the Chinese Civil War and the Second Sino-Japanese War. His original house was burned by the Japanese army in 1942; the present site includes a small museum beside the reconstructed home.
