Coconut Dream Corridor

Long landscaped seafront promenade running along Sanya Bay

The Coconut Dream Corridor is a roughly 20-kilometre landscaped seafront park running along the western side of Sanya Bay, planted with coconut palms (some of them genuinely old, some newer plantings) and laid out with cycle paths, walking trails, and small beachfront pavilions. It is one of the most accessible green spaces in the city and where many locals actually spend their evenings.

The best stretches are between Phoenix Island and the western end near the airport, where the bay opens out and you get the full sunset. There are bicycle hire stalls along the way and several open-air seafood restaurants on the inland side of the road. Combined with a meal at one of the small barbecue places nearby, an evening walk here is one of the simpler pleasures of Sanya and free of the entry fees that attach to most of the named attractions.
