Phoenix Hill is the highest landform in central Sanya and one of the easier places to get a broad view over the city and coast. A cable car runs to the top, making it a practical short outing rather than a hike.
The summit is best on a clear day, when the panorama gives a useful sense of how Sanya spreads between hills, river, and sea.
