Dazhu Mountain is a coastal scenic area in Huangdao District, known for spring azalea blooms, rocky slopes, old grottoes, and a Buddhist temple dating back centuries. The higher paths open to views toward the Yellow Sea.
It is most rewarding in March, April, and May when the azaleas are in flower, though hikers can visit outside the bloom season for the sea views and mountain scenery.
