Little Qingdao Island sits just off the old waterfront near Zhanqiao Pier, small enough to feel like a punctuation mark in the bay. Its white lighthouse and paths make it a compact viewpoint over the German-era shoreline, the harbour, and the city rising behind it.
It is not a major outing by itself, but it is a strong add-on to the old concession district and seafront walk. Go when visibility is good, because the views are the point, and allow extra time if the waterfront is crowded on weekends or holidays.
