No. 3 Bathing Beach is one of Qingdao's smaller urban beaches, set below the leafy Badaguan district rather than in the middle of the busiest seaside strip. The sand is modest, but the setting is the point: old villas, pine-shaded streets, and rocky headlands give it a more intimate feel than the larger bathing beaches.
It is a good stop if you are already walking through Badaguan or along the coast. Come outside the most crowded summer hours and treat it as a scenic pause, with sea air and old Qingdao architecture close together.
