Golden Beach is one of Qingdao's broadest stretches of sand, lying across Jiaozhou Bay in the Huangdao district. It feels more spacious than the older city beaches near the German concession, with a long shoreline and open Yellow Sea views.
The beach is best in warm weather, when locals come for swimming, paddling, and evening walks along the water. It is a cross-bay outing rather than a quick city-centre stop, so give it enough time and pair it with the newer coastal districts if you want to see a different side of Qingdao.
