Ross Hill Church stands on one of the three small hills overlooking Visakhapatnam's harbour, giving it a stronger setting than many city churches. The climb and the view are as much the attraction as the chapel itself.
It is best visited as part of the old port-side cluster that also includes the nearby mosque and temple hills. Come early or late in the day, when the harbour is clearer and the heat is less punishing.
