The prettiest beach on the Alibag coast is Kashid, about 30 km south of Alibag town on the road toward Murud. White sand, casuarina trees along the back of the beach, and relatively little development make it a popular choice for visitors who want a cleaner, quieter alternative to the main beach in town.
The water here is generally calmer than Alibag Beach, and the colour in the early morning is exceptional — pale green shading to blue further out. Small beach shacks serve fish curry and cold drinks. It gets busy on weekends with Mumbai daytrippers; come on a weekday in the October–February window for the best experience.
