Revdanda Fort is a weathered Portuguese stronghold near the mouth of Revdanda Creek, south of Alibag. The laterite walls, old gateways, and broken church remains are half-absorbed into the village and beach landscape, which makes the site feel less polished than the better-known forts closer to Mumbai.
It is best treated as a coastal ramble rather than a formal monument. Combine it with the beach or nearby Chaul, and go in daylight when the ruined walls and palms still have enough atmosphere to reward the detour.
