Muktidham is a white marble temple complex in Nashik's Deolali area, built as a compact pilgrimage map of Hindu sacred geography. The complex includes shrines to major deities and replicas or references to the twelve jyotirlingas, allowing devotees to symbolically visit several holy sites in one place.
For travellers, the appeal is partly devotional and partly architectural. The bright marble, painted interiors, and steady flow of worshippers make it a lively contrast to Nashik's older riverfront temples. It is easiest to visit by taxi or auto-rickshaw, and shoes come off before entering the temple areas.
