Jaipur is one of India's great shopping cities, and the bazaars of the old walled town are the main draw. Johari Bazaar is the place for jewelry and gemstones -- Jaipur is the world's largest cutting center for emeralds. Bapu Bazaar has textiles, shoes, and handicrafts. Tripolia Bazaar specializes in lac bangles and brassware.
For fixed-price shopping without the haggling, try the Rajasthali government emporium on MI Road or the Anokhi store (block-printed clothing) in the C-Scheme neighborhood. Mojari, a government shop near Chomu House, sells traditional Rajasthani leather footwear at fair prices.
