Sahastradhara

"The thousand springs" lie about fourteen kilometres northeast of the city centre, where sulphurous water trickles out of overhanging limestone cliffs in dozens of small falls into shallow pools. The water is said to be medicinal — locals come for skin complaints — and the surrounding gorge of the Baldi River is genuinely beautiful.

The site has been steadily commercialised with a ropeway, food stalls, and concrete bathing tanks, but the upper falls are still attractive. Best in the months after the monsoon (October–November), when the flow is strongest.
