Museum Rudana is a private art museum with a broad collection of Balinese painting, from traditional styles to more modern work. It was founded by artist and collector Nyoman Rudana, and the galleries give useful context for Ubud's long-running role as an art centre.
It pairs well with the other museums south of central Ubud. Go when you want a quieter, more focused art stop and enough time to compare older religious and courtly subjects with later tourist-era and contemporary painting.
