The Museum Pos Indonesia is housed in the original Hoofdpostkantoor (Central Post Office) built in 1931 by J. Berger and J. Gerber — the same architects who designed the Gedung Sate next door. The collection runs from precolonial messenger systems through the Dutch postal monopoly to modern Indonesian stamps. A long wall of philatelic exhibits covers stamps from across the Asian-African Conference nations.
The building itself is the bigger draw: an unusually large Art Deco interior with original wooden counters and tiled floors still in everyday use. Free admission. Closed Sundays.
