Keraton Kasepuhan

The older of Cirebon's two royal palaces, founded in the 15th century and the better preserved of the pair. A small museum inside holds royal heirlooms, including an elaborate carriage whose decoration combines Portuguese, Chinese, and Hindu-Buddhist elements — a tangible record of Cirebon's position as a trading port where multiple cultures converged. The palace compound includes a mosque and a ceremonial square. Entry requires a small fee and a sarong (available to borrow at the gate).
